True. But in order to be your best, players MUST be technically sound. You may know everything about tactics, but without the right techniques in your locker, you won’t be able to execute in game scenarios. And virtual because not everyone has access to a great coach in person.. now you do.

Absolutely!! Rooted is designed to complement your team training, giving you the personal development, technical focus, and individualized support that can be hard to get in a team setting.

That depends! The training schedule will be personalized to you: your training history, your current team training / match schedule, fatigue, etc. We will fit in technical training sessions wherever makes sense given this context. In heavier team training periods / in-season times, part of the technical training can be swapped for film review / tactical training.

You will receive all of your training via the TrueCoach app. Drills will have videos + descriptions to explain proper technique.

You’ll receive weekly technical and tactical sessions (distributed 1-2 weeks at a time through TrueCoach), unlimited in-app communication, and a 45min check-in call each week. You' also get constant mentorship and support through sport and life!!

I played Division I soccer at the University of Nebraska and James Madison University, later coached at JMU, and now serve as the varsity head coach at South Eugene High School. I also hold a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology, along with a degree in Nutrition, Exercise, and Health Science, and Psychology. My life has also been one filled with adverse experiences (both on and off the field) which have enhanced my capacity for empathy and connection with my players in a way that separates me as a coach.

Because most athletes will be under 18, Rooted requires parent or guardian consent before training begins. Parents are included in the onboarding process and receive monthly email updates. However, the athletes are the ones communicating with me daily, giving them space to take ownership of their development.
